A family was displaced after a fire in Hazleton Wednesday afternoon. Hazleton firefighters were sent to a home on Lincoln Street, between 12th and 13th streets at 1:24 p.m. and arrived minutes later to find a working fire in the kitchen. Firefighters said it didnât take long for crews to extinguish the flames which appeared to be caused by a cooking incident. They were also able to contain the fire to the kitchen, preventing it from spreading elsewhere in the house. Three adults and one dog were displaced. The fire department contacted the American Red Cross to assist them.
