HC to hear on December 1 plea against not allowing prayers in Mughal Mosque

The Delhi High Court has moved up the date of hearing to December 1 for a petition challenging the ban on offering prayers in the Mughal Mosque in Mehrauli. The managing committee of the mosque had filed the petition, accusing the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) of unlawfully stopping the prayers. The ASI has argued that the mosque is located within the protected area of the Qutub Minar and allowing prayers there could set a precedent for other monuments.
