The puzzle parking facility, with five levels, has been developed at a cost of Rs 4.6 crore HUBBALLI: The puzzle parking facility at MG Park in Hubballi, reportedly the first-of-its-kind in Karnataka, is all set to start functioning, albeit on a trial basis, in the next few days. The facility, developed by the Hubballi-Dharwad Smart City Ltd (HDSCL) as part of its comprehensive solution to the persistent problem of parking in the twin cities. The facility, with five levels, has been developed at an estimated cost of Rs 4.6 crore. As many as 37 cars can be parked in the facility. HDSCL chose MG Park as the location for the facility given its proximity to the IT Park. The civic agency was keen on streamlining vehicular movement near the IT Park, where lack of parking space added to the congestion. The major advantage of puzzle parking facility is that the number of vehicles that can be parked there is large in proportion to the area taken up by the same.
