NDP Leader Hosts Townhall on Laurentian University NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh hosts a virtual townhall demanding government action to save Laurentian University. The Sudbury, Ontario, institution is terminating 58 undergraduate and 11 graduate programs as well as roughly 110 staff positions as it restructures amid insolvency. He is joined by northern Ontario New Democrats Charlie Angus (Timmins–James Bay) and Carol Hughes (Algoma–Manitoulin–Kapuskasing).
