Hershey's has issued a recall on some of its bottles of chocolate shell topping over allergy concerns. The chocolate company says 1,700 of the 7.25-ounce bottles were mistakenly filled with the Heath Shell Topping, which contains almonds. Hershey said in the FDA recall notice,
“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products."
The recalled bottles of chocolate were shipped nationwide between April 15th and May 3rd with the product code 25JSAS1. The product is currently being pulled from store shelves. If you happened to buy any chocolate shell bottle before April 15th, don't worry because it is not involved in the recall. As of right now, there have not been any reports of illness.
