High Speed Chase and Crash Injures 5 Illegal Aliens
SONORA, TX – Ten illegal aliens were involved in a high speed chase throughout Sonora and were apprehended after a scary crash in Interstate 10 west. Five of the illegals were injured. According to the Sutton County Sheriff's office at 9:34am this morning, a Sonora PD Officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop for a speed violation, on a Chevrolet Silverado pickup on Hwy 277 S. near the intersection of S. Crockett. The vehicle turned NB on Crockett and came to a stop in the Car Quest Parking lot. As the Officer attempted to make contact with the driver, it fled the scene & led Sonora PD, DPS Troopers, Sutton County Sheriff's Office & Texas Game Warden on a pursuit through Sonora to Interstate 10 where they entered the Interstate going West Bound.
