Highland Council has issued a reminder that all civic Hogmanay events are cancelled this year during the pandemic. The annual showpiece event, the Red Hot Highland Fling at Northern Meeting Park in Inverness, is among those set on ice for a year. All other Christmas and New Year-themed civic events, including the Winter Wonderland at Whin Park and the Christmas lights switch-on parade, have also been cancelled due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.
