Wednesday, January 8, 2020, Danbury, Conn.H John Voorhees III / Hearst Connecticut Media Danbury is seeking a commissioning agent, whose job will include preparing reports and reviewing documents and design specifications before the project goes to bid. The plan is to add seven classrooms to the district’s Family & Community Engagement Center on Osborne Street and connect that building to the nearby elementary school. The roughly $7 million to $8 million project is expected to help address enrollment growth. Danbury expects to finish design documents and bidding within the next few months. Construction is scheduled to begin June 2021, with students occupying the building in August 2022.
