Home of the Year: Quirky cottages and restored red-bricks in 'Home of the Year' final

Jennifer Sheahan, with her 1800s cottage in Dublin, is another finalist.
Bought in 2019, it needed a complete restoration as it had no central heating and an outside toilet but she transformed it into a stunning two-storey house with lots of clever storage solutions. She describes her style as “modern, playful and colourful” as evidenced in features such as a disco ball light in the toilet.
A Limerick home is the third finalist with Saara and Mike McLoughlin and their quirky semi-detached house that they bought in 2008.
Although it looks like a standard home from the outside, they have painted every single surface inside and given it their own touch, with a mix of bohemian and Scandi influences.
