Hon Hai sales hit historical high for Q2 07/06/2021 11:45 AM CNA file photo Taipei, July 6 (CNA) Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., the world's largest contract electronics maker, has set a new company record for second-quarter sales, mainly due to strong demand for tech gadgets in the booming global stay-at-home economy, analysts said. In a statement Monday, iPhone assembler Hon Hai reported consolidated sales of NT$1.36 trillion (US$48.75 billion) in the April-June period, up about 20 percent from a year earlier, and up 0.74 percent from a quarter earlier. On a year-on-year basis, Hon Hai's consumer electronics division generated the strongest sales growth, followed by the electronics component division, the cloud technology-based product division and the computer and related goods division, the company said.
