socaltech.com Los Angeles-based HONK, the roadside assistance provider led by Corey Brundage, says it is providing a new, co-branded roadside assistance program for Driver Technologies, a developer of an app which turns a driver's phone into a dashcam. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Driver's app allows users to video record their trip, and also offers turn-by-turn navigation, mobile voice assistants, and more. HONK is offering up roadside assistance from directly within Driver's app. Driver said it previously had required users to click off to a third-party site for roadside service requests, which created some confusion and additional out of pocket expenses its customers. Honk operates its own transparent marketplace which connects towing companies and professionals with motorists.
