The event was cancelled last year due to COVID-19 and any hopes for the event returning this summer are quickly fading. John Olaveson, chairman of the Timmins Festival and Events Committee, told The Daily Press in December they were starting to put together some plans for Rock On The River 2021 and committee members were “pretty optimistic” and “trying to stay positive” amid an ongoing pandemic.
