FAIRFIELD – Former City Manager Mark Wendling will be paid $224,505 as part of separation and settlement agreements approved by city council on Friday.
Wendling resigned from the city Friday, just two days after receiving the separation agreement, which cited a “reorganization of staff.”
The documents further stated the action was a resolution of “disputed claims” but not an admission of liability by Wendling, the city, or officials.
“Most city managers (serve) 3-6 years and he’s at the five-year mark,’’ said Mayor Steve Miller.
