File Photo NEW DELHI: In an expected move, rebel Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Suvendu Adhikari resigned from the primary membership of the Mamata Banerjee-led party. He also quit all party positions. Suvendu Adhikari’s resignation has not come suddenly. He has adopted a one-step-at-a-time move while severing ties with TMC. This puts him in a league different from other rebels of any political party who have generally quit all posts, positions and even primary membership in one single jolt. In a move that seems to be calculated to step up the heat on Mamata Banerjee and TMC, Suvendu Adhikari’s dismemberment from his party has been slow and steady. In this way, he also kept the party leadership guessing.
