Kids are often times the ones who suffer the most from food insecurity. Those who have limited access to regular, healthy meals tend to do worse in school. It makes sense. Food is fuel not just for our bodies, but for our brains as well. That goes double for kids, who's brains are still growing. One way you can help is by donating during our upcoming Neighbors Feeding Neighbors Food Drive on April 29 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.. All money donated during the drive will go toward the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW). When we did Neighbors Feeding Neighbors in 2020, the community donated $4,020 to CHOW -- enough for 20,150 meals. That's a lot for the families of our area.
