nurse dawn wooten's whistle-blower complaint was wn written in conjunction with an advocacy group called project south. they spoke to a detainee in that facility who said she knew of at least five other women who were being held there who all said they had had hysterectomies ld h performed by this same doctor. all five women were confused, they said, about why they needed to have their reproductive organs removed. she says, quote, when i met alle of these women who had had these surgeries, i thought this was like an experimental s,ex concentration camp. it was like they're experimenting with our bodies. so you may remember us coveringe this story and airing that interview september of last year. in the wake of that t whistle-blower complaint, dozens more women came forward who all said they were mistreated by by this one doctor, this one gynecologist when they were held at that facility by the u.s. government.ci many women said they had their uteruses removed, their ovaries removed, their fallopian tubes.t they were sterilized by this one doctor working for this federal facility, all without their informed consent.
