The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) has criticized Vice-Chancellor Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit for her "freeloaders on campus" remark and for failing to address slanderous narratives of certain films targeting the university. The union accused Pandit of ignoring the lavish perks enjoyed by politically favoured groups on campus and claiming she was a "freeloader" rather than students.
