Legislator pushes for speedy passage of alcohol prohibition bill

Considering the negative impacts of alcoholic beverages, the United Development Party (PPP) has, since the earlier period, proposed an immediate passing of the alcoholic prohibition bill Jakarta (ANTARA) - A senior parliament member pressed for the House of Representatives to pass the alcohol prohibition bill in the wake of the grave threats posed by liquor on Indonesians, especially members of the young generation.
The negative impacts of alcoholic beverages again came to light in an incident wherein three people were fatally shot at RM Cafe in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, on Thursday, Deputy Head of the House Legislation Body Achmad Baidowi stated here on Friday.
