The new Festival Plaza (City of FSJ, Facebook) FORT ST. JOHN, B.C – Local social media pages were buzzing Saturday as the new Festival Plaza hosted the first farmers market of the season. The new plaza includes an all-season building for events, stalls for vendors, public washrooms, fire obelisks for heating and an outdoor performance space. Vanessa Cumming, City of Fort St. John Recreation Manager, says so far, the plaza has been well received. The farmers market was the first event in the plaza, but Cumming says there will be a grand opening in the future.
