Patna: Police in Bihar have arrested a man for handing his wife to a group of gamblers after he lost her in a bet at his village. The bizarre incident took place last month but came to light when the victim registered a case with the police on Sunday night. The incident took place in Bhagalpur district, more than 230 km east of Patna. Police said the accused Saroj Kumar who was a habitual gambler was playing gamble with his friends during Diwali when he lost everything to his friends. Eventually, he placed his wife on the bet and he lost her too.
