Interior Secretary Eduardo Año disclosed the good news for Sinas during his speech as a guest of honor and speaker during the change of command at Camp Crame in Quezon City where Lt. Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar assumed the leadership of the 228,000-strong PNP. Año said that it was President Duterte himself who told him that Sinas will be given a new position under his administration. “Ang narinig ko nung isang gabi kay Pangulong Duterte, ikaw daw ay bibigyan ng panibagong trabaho. (What I heard from President Duterte last night, you will be given a new job,” said Año.
