By Angelique Guerard Jun 4, 2021 | 1:09 AM Jesse’s Journey has been no stranger to doing the unthinkable, and on Sunday they did just that. With more participants this year than ever before, the organization raised over $200,000 during their nationwide Virtual Walk for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). The event had support from nine provinces across Canada, and even reached as far as New Zealand. “This success just shows that more and more folks are connected to the organization because they believe in the mission,” says Perry Esler, the Executive Director of Jesse’s Journey. The organization’s founder John Davidson started this journey with his son Jesse in 1994, who had been diagnosed with DMD when he was just six years old.
