The composer had tested positive for COVID-19 and died due to the complications from the novel virus. He passed away in the hospital and was not responding to the treatment. Since last night, celebrities have expressed their condolence to the family. Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn paid tribute to the music director who had worked with Nadeem to compose music albums for their films Dhadkan and Phool Aur Kaante, respectively. Shreya Ghoshal, Armaan Malik, Shaan and many more have paid tribute.
