Letter: Shultz's stories in The Darien Times created positive change May 12, 2021 FacebookTwitterEmail To the Editor: When I learned of Susan Shultz’s departure from the Darien Times, I wanted to express my thanks and gratitude for the work she’s done on behalf of my family and the community. Under her leadership the paper has grown to promote education and awareness on an myriad of issues including ones that had been considered too taboo to have an open conversation about. I became friends with Susan when she reached out to me asking if I would share our family’s story about the devastating opioid epidemic that took the life of our son, William.
