Emergency personnel have responded to two separate snakebite incidents in the region, in less than a week. Both involved puff adders. A 38-year-old hiker was rushed to the ICU after he was bitten by the venomous snake in the southern Berg, this past weekend. A 15-year-old boy was hospitalised, last week, after suffering a bite along Drakensberg Gardens road in the Underberg area.
