The man accused of spitting outside a Newcastle courthouse after fallen NRL star Jarryd Hayne was sentenced on Thursday will be fined by police. Mina Greiss was issued a criminal infringement notice for offensive conduct and will be hit with a $500 fine after he allegedly spat outside court as the media scrum and Hayne's victim were leaving the courthouse. There's no suggestion he spat at anyone in particular. Images show the 38-year-old filming from the pavement outside the court. Tempers flared and ugly scenes erupted after Hayne was sentenced for the 2018 rape of the Newcastle woman.
