May 3, 2021 Burlington, Ia- The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a man for drug possession in Des Moines County. At approximately 5:23 PM Friday, April 30th, a deputy with the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office went out with a suspicious vehicle in the area of Starr’s Cave Nature Center. During the investigation of this vehicle, a passenger was identified as 31 year old Aaron Bessine. Bessine was found to be in possession of Heroin, Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Bessine was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin 3rd Offense, Possession of Marijuana 3rd Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
