SunStar + June 04, 2021 ACTING City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery on Friday, June 4, 2021, clarified that the students seen lining up in vaccination sites are actually individuals who will undergo internship in hospitals. According to Nery, they received a memo from the Department of Health (DOH) stating that interns from nursing and other medical courses will be considered as part of the A1 population and will need to be vaccinated since they will be exposed to the hospital during their internship program. Nery also apologized for the inconvenience caused by operational glitches at the Limketkai vaccination site on Friday. "In behalf of the vaccination team of Cagayan de Oro City, ako nagapangayo og pasaylo sa tanan nga na-inconvenience sa kato nga insidente," Nery said.
