Thousands of people paid a final tribute on Wednesday to Silvio Berlusconi, who died Monday at the age of 86 of leukemia. Nearly 9,000 people, admirers or nostalgic of the Cavaliere gathered in Milan to pay their last respects. The President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella was present. Former heads of government Matteo Renzi, Paolo Gentiloni and Mario Draghi also made the trip to Milan to attend the funeral of the former Italian prime minister. Among the few foreign dignitaries were the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
