KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 27: The risk of cybersecurity threats in the country is still under control, as most public and private organisations have taken measures to strengthen the security of their respective systems, and remain vigilant at all times. Malaysian Computer Emergency Response Team (MyCERT) department chief Megat Muazzam Abdul Mutalib said the recent threat made by hacker activist group Anonymous Malaysia recently was different from the one reported in 2015. “In the threat in 2015, there was a specific agenda, that is dissatisfaction with the situation at the time and there was an element of (physical) threat. But in the latest threat, from what was mentioned, it is more related to dissatisfaction with database issues and data leaks.
