The community rallied together Saturday in Catonsville to share a festive treat with people who are isolated during the coronavirus pandemic.Santa Claus led a caravan of Jeeps Saturday to visit four nursing and foster children's homes in Catonsville."We're trying to bring the festive spirit to them ... They have nothing. The kids can't visit. They can't have pets," said Ellie McIntire, an organizer. "It's fun for everybody who has a Jeep, too. I mean, they've done a fantastic job."Dozens of Jeeps and other vehicles decorated with a touch of Christmas converged at Catonsville Elementary School and were led by Santa Claus through the streets of Catonsville.Organizers said they wanted to bring some holiday cheer to those who might feel isolated during the pandemic."It's just a break from the normal, a break from the monotony and to have a little bit of Christmas driving through, they can wave and lift their spirits up for the day," McIntire said.The caravan will go through a specific route twice Saturday night.
