March 5, 2021 at 3:38 PM JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Hudson County Prosecutor's office has taken over the investigation into a crash in which State Senator Sandra Cunningham was involved, TAPinto has learned. The Thursday morning incident left the veteran legislator facing charges of driving while intoxicated. At the time of the police report, the result of a sobriety and blood tests were still pending and will be part of the evidence being looked at by the AG’s office, city officials confirmed. According to the police report, Cunningham was traveling westbound on Culver Avenue when she sideswiped two vehicles. “I was coming down the street when I was about to make a turn and instead turned into a snowbank,” Cunningham, who struck two unoccupied vehicles, told the police.
