To provide warmth, hot drinks, toilet, water and cooking facilities, Aurora Energy contractors had connected a generator to the Millers Flat Hall on Tuesday evening. It would remain in place until power was restored in all affected areas, largely in Ettrick/Millers Flat, Raes Junction and surrounding rural areas. Contractors worked into the evening and sent extra power line patrols and resources to find where trees had crossed lines and to conduct repairs.
