More than a hundred parents and children gathered outside the empty Huron Valley Schools administrative building Wednesday afternoon, rallying to encourage the district to open schools again for face-to-face instruction. Many carried signs that read, "Save our kids, open our schools," and similar sentiments, including a sign carried by Kurtz Elementary third-grader Joslyn Kozub, that stated "Open our Schools, virtual SUCKS!!" Carla Kozub brought Joslyn and her three other daughters to the protest with one intent in mind. "I really just want to see my children in school where they belong," she said. "Districts around us still have face-to-face instruction. This (all remote) is unacceptable. It's stressful on working parents, and I don't know what single parents are doing."
