Malaysia Tourist Guides Council president Jimmy Leong said it is important for the government to kickstart this discussion as this is critical for the recovery of the local economy. “The state government needs to push the Federal Government to start discussing with Singapore. “This is important for both countries as we are highly dependent on each other and starting such discussions early would be helpful in the speedy recovery of the economy after the pandemic, ” he said.
