The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Lanao Del Norte recently opened the Mandulog River Esplanade Tuesday, July 13 which was designed both as a flood control area and a promenade. “Flood control project gyud ni siya. Igo lang ni gipagwapo. Instead makita ninyo nga boring nga flood control or riprap, kani ni siya gipagwapo lang. (This is really a flood control project. We just beautified this. Instead of seeing a boring flood control or riprap, this is just beautified.),” District Engineer Ali Khan Ali told the Philippine Information Agency.
