Impaired driving investigation underway after Connector crash sends 4 to hospital A single-vehicle crash on the Okanagan Connector (Hwy 97C) Tuesday night sent four people to hospital. The driver, a West Kelowna woman in her 50s, was airlifted from the crash scene in “grave condition” to receive urgent medical care. An adult man and two young children who were also in the vehicle each suffered what are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospital by ground. The RCMP says a criminal impaired driving investigation is now underway. “Although the investigation into the causal factors is in its early stages, police believe that the driver had been under the influence of an intoxicating substance while behind the wheel,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
