They have claimed that it was contrary to section 5.3 of the World Health Organisation’s Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) and violation of Geneva Convention which suggests fulfilling international obligations. They have further alleged that the tobacco companies used such events to enter in the power corridors and establish contacts with the decision makers.
