2 hrs ago RACINEÂ â Blue skies, bright sun and a nice breeze welcomed the Eggstravaganza back to the county from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Racine Zoo. The Easter-themed day featured a âcluck-cluck doorâ hunt throughout the zoo to collect candy, a trunk hunt (Easter style trunk-or-treat), cookie decorating to-go, egg decorating to-go, crafts to-go and photos with the Easter bunny. Beth Heidorn, executive director of the zoo, said the turnout was more than she expected and it feels good seeing everyone back at the zoo. The Eggstravaganza, which is held annually before Easter, was canceled last year due to the pandemic. Heidorn said the success of the Eggstravaganza is a sign things are going back to normal.Â
