Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency applied for the pathway to be considered under the COVID-19 Recovery (Fast-Track Consenting) Act 2020. The expert consenting panel has today granted a resource consent with conditions, and confirmed two notices of requirement with conditions. The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) provides advice and administrative support for the Panel Convener, Judge Newhook, and the expert consenting panels he appoints. The EPA is not involved in the decision-making.
