The new Advanced Chaff Technology has been developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) laboratory, Defence Laboratory Jodhpur (DLJ). It meets the Indian Navy’s ‘qualitative requirements’. Chaff is a passive expendable electronic countermeasure technology employed to safeguard naval ships from enemy’s radar and radio frequency (RF) missile seekers.
