LAFAYETTE, Ind. — After almost a year of living in the pandemic, Thometra and James Foster sat in the waiting area of the Tippecanoe County’s vaccine clinic this week after both receiving their first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine shot.
“Feels a little bit liberating,” James, 69, said.
“We can see the light at the end of the tunnel now,” Thometra said. “So it's a blessing in, and we just want people to know that it's the shot is safe, and that they can trust it because it's been tested…”
The two joined the more than 1.2 million Hoosiers that have received their first vaccination dose, a day when Tippecanoe county surpassed 27,000 first doses administered.
