(WLFI) — The Wabash Township trustee accused of theft appeared Friday morning for an initial hearing. As News 18 previously reported, Jennifer Teising was indicted by a grand jury May 12 on 20 counts of theft. Prosecutors allege Teising wasn't living in the township from June 2020 to February 2021 but collected a township paycheck every two weeks, amounting to nearly two dozen cases of theft. During the hearing, Teising's attorney, Indianapolis-based Karen Celestino-Horseman, asked to waive the reading of Teising's charges and advisement of rights.
