An inquest heard that Sarah Lewis, 62, of Weymouth, had been shielding and had not left her house since early March and was feeling anxious about venturing out that day to drop her car off for an MOT. She had been waiting for a taxi in Lynch Lane then decided to cross the road and was hit as the lorry reversed out of McKay Close. A coroner said Ms Lewis was 'completely unaware of the lorry’s presence' after hearing that she was dealing with her mask which was tangled in her bag.
