Met Eireann have warned of miserable conditions later today with strong winds in parts. 2 2 Temperatures will reach highs of 16C The national forecaster said: "Scattered heavy showers in the west will become widespread through this morning, with limited bright intervals. "They will turn increasingly heavy with the risk of hail and isolated thunderstorms especially in the northwest. "Quite windy for a time today in parts with fresh to strong and gusty southerly winds. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16C. "Scattered showers will persist tonight however they will be lighter in nature and mixed with occasional clear spells also.
