Mirani MP Stephen Andrew has appealed to the deputy premier to step in to fix the âlong overdueâ upgrades to Brewers Park in Sarina. During days of extreme rain, the sporting precinct turns into a lake due to outdated drainage. Junior teams using the park do not have change rooms and are forced to make do with dilapidated facilities and toilet blocks. In a question on notice to Queensland Parliament, Mr Andrew urged Deputy Premier Steven Miles to call on the council to prioritise the park upgrades through Works for Queensland funding. âWhile I can confirm park upgrades are eligible projects under the 2021-24 Works for Queensland Program, it is up to individual councils to develop and submit their list of projects for approval,â Mr Miles responded.
