Ismail Sabri: Interstate travel still not allowed due to spike in Covid-19 cases

PUTRAJAYA: Interstate travel is still not allowed as many cases of Covid-19 have resulted from it, says Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said the National Security Council special meeting supported statements on the matter issued by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba and Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.
“I want to state here that interstate travel is still not allowed. We know that the people will not like this but it needs to be enforced to stop the Covid-19 infectivity, ” he said on Friday (April 23).
Ismail Sabri said previously, there were 38 clusters resulting from interstate travel with 5,471 cases recorded, and pointed to the Pasai cluster which had caused the number of cases in Sarawak to spike.
