'Missing Villages': J&K's 'Transhumant' People are Almost a

At nearly 6 lakh, the transhumant tribal population of Jammu & Kashmir is more than the population of many small countries. The highland pastures inhabited by the tribals for around six months don’t qualify as a “village”.
