'Litigation' prevents redacted report's release, city solicitor says

An investigative report into workplace harassment allegations in the Sarnia Police Service should not be released publicly because of ongoing legal matters, the city’s solicitor says.
“There is pending litigation and potential liability in releasing the redacted or unredacted report, so my recommendation to the (police services) board at this time … (is) that the board hold and not release the report,” said David Logan, Sarnia’s general manager of corporate services.

His comments came Thursday as Sarnia’s police board considered a request from city council to make public, with names redacted, the report by third-party lawyer Helen Daniel.
