The Johnson County School Board, during their regular meeting Monday night, passed their budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year. Business Manager Tom Sarvey gave a presentation on the budget to the board, who then voted to adopt it for the coming year. According to the budget documents, the overall total appropriation is $31.1 million which includes $21.7 million in expenditures; $1.2 million in interfund transfers and $4.8 million in special revenue funds. There is $2.2 million in major maintenance funds; $225,000 to BOCHES; and $32,000 in the debt service fund. Enterprise funds include $731,000 for food service; $45,000 in the teacherage fund; and $25,000 for the tiny house fund. The District will levy 12 additional mills or $3,769,218 for the Wyoming School
